I occasionally go to B&Bs that aren't too far from my home for one or two night getaways that are for self-retreat purposes. This is a three-bedroom B&B (with chicken farm) that has shared space with the owners such as with the family room, kitchen, and dining room. The owners are very nice and hospitable, and their young grandson is sometimes there as well. It is in a peaceful country-like atmosphere with beautiful trees surrounding just four miles outside of historic downtown Lebanon. I found my room that I booked called the "Country Room" to be very peaceful, spacious and clean. I loved the clawfoot tub and all the pampering items available to enjoy my little respite away. (There were even candles to use!) There is a walk-in shower for those who prefer. This room has a recliner which was very nice to read and relax in to further enjoy my private space. (The owners told me they have a recliner in all of the guest rooms.) There was a snack basket filled with snacks and treats, and waters in the small fridge. I made some afternoon coffee in the in-room coffeemaker and it was really good. The cooked-to-order breakfast was amazing, featuring fresh eggs from their hens. If you like chickens, you will love this place as they have a lot out back beyond the pool area. Sometimes baby chicks may be in the family room as well when hatching and incubating, as they were during my stay which was very neat to see. I could not hear them from my room, which is the closest of the three to the family room, as the other two guest bedrooms are upstairs. There is a lovely back porch which I spent quite a bit of time as the weather was lovely. I read a few other reviews about the pool and hot tub. The hot tub did not appear to be in working order during my stay, and one of the owners commented the water in the pool was too cool right now to swim in.

The place is awesome. There's not a hotel out there that can hold a candle to the experience and service you get here. Hands down with our a doubt this beats the best high dollar hotel around. Plus each morning you can awake at 830/915 to the smell of eggs bacon and sausage being cook. No hotel I know of offers you that wake up call. Good morning world. I would invite any and all to check this place out, I assure you it'll be an experience like no other that you've had while traveling Oh ya it makes for a great relaxing and quiet get away for any and all . Great for recharging mind body and soul.. I promise you will not be disappointed.

The property was easy to find. It was close to every place we wanted to go. Kim and Rich made it easy to relax and enjoy our stay. It was more like visiting family than staying at an inn. Beautiful art, libraries, games and a pool had something for everyone. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend Cedar Grove Inn and are looking forward to future visits whenever we are in the area.

The location was exactly what I needed - about 15 min. drive from the Original Sewing and Quilts Expo event. The accommodations were extremely comfortable - from the bed, pillow, recliner, lighting to the large bathroom with lots of counter space and walk in shower with 6 kinds of body wash available. Breakfast was whatever I wanted and cooked to perfection just in time. Farm fresh eggs were an unexpected treat.

I love this place in it's rural setting but near the city, some fine dining (Sammy Bs), and historical areas. The hosts/owners are super nice and have everything you need and more in their beautiful and comfortable rooms. This is my 3rd time to stay with them. If you are a single traveler, you feel very safe here. This time I brought a friend to experience Cedar Grove, she loved it too.
